National Cancer Survivors Day falls on the first Sunday of June every year. Sunday, June 7th is National Cancer Survivors Day for 2015. I love to promote causes such as cancer and even more so it’s great to feature positive and inspirational stories that can come from these causes. When I had a reader share her story with me I knew it was one to share on this special day.
With hope, the odds don’t matter.
Heather Von St. James is a Mesothelioma Survivor. She is a beautiful women with an inspiring story. At the age of 36, shortly after giving birth to her daughter she was diagnosed and given just 15 months to live. Of course I am sharing this story because nearly 10 years later she is a cancer survivor. Her story is one of inspiration and she is continuing to spread her message of awareness of mesothelioma (asbestos) and hope.
Here is her story: Heather Von St James | A Mesothelioma Cancer Survivor Story
You will fall in love with Heather and her story. This is a great message to share, especially on National Cancer Survivors Day!
Heather Von St. James – Mesothelioma Survivor
National Cancer Survivors Day is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community.
Heather is a wonderful example of the hope and optimism that that is important in surviving cancer. I love her message of hope that is on her site so I decided to make a printable of it! I absolutely love this. Hope is a must have virtue for creating happiness. Hope is stronger than fear. Hope springs eternal. There is always hope. 🙂
Share a message of hope with someone you know. Maybe someone who is battling cancer or has survived!
