The *disclaimer*
If you are looking for a “healthy” cookie recipe, this is NOT it!
If you are looking for easy and YUMMY, this is the one!
{It has plenty of butter, sugar, flour, and eggs in it}
The CHALLENGE
Try this recipe and I challenge you to not find this the BEST chocolate chip cookie dough.
Let me know what you think!
I have tried a lot of cookie recipes and LOVE this one the most. The dough is so so good and I am going to share the recipe and tips to make it the best.
First of all, if you are going to make the very best cookies, you must use the very best ingredients. REAL butter, the freshest brown sugar (buy some fresh if you must) etc…
And you must put some LOVE into it!
Yep!
THE RECIPE:
Cream 1st 5 ingredients together in this order
1 cup white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup (2 cubes) REAL salted butter
4 lightly whisked eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Sift together and slowly add
4 cups flour (approximate to consistency)
2 tsp baking soda
Finally
add 1 package of chocolate chips {of your liking}
THEN:
You must take a BIG pinch in your fingers and eat it! {hee hee}
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS:
350 degrees for about 12 minutes
{give or take a couple: 10-15 min}
They should be a light golden brown and dough still on the undercooked side. They will continue to cook after removed from the oven.
These cookies stay soft and a bit chewy if kept covered.
MmmmMmm Enjoy!

I recommend this basic recipe for the VERY BEST DOUGH!!
NOW FOR SOME VARIATIONS:
1. replace 2 cups of ground quick oats for 2 cups flour
(blend the oats in blender at med speed to a very fine consistency)
2. May replace an egg with 2 tbls. water (cookies will be chewier)
3. Grate a chocolate bar into the dough and blend in with chocolate chips. (This is particularly good with the oat/flour version)
4. Mix dark and milk chocolate chips and/or butterscotch or peanut butter chips
5. May add pecans or walnuts to your liking
6. Add some of your favorite snacks to the dough: recees pieces, m&m’s, pretzels, heath bar, coconut, caramel, etc… Get creative!
I happened to make the oats/flour version. It is so yummy! It gives it a slight oatmeal cookie flavor and a bit of richness… and the dough is still very good.
Now that I have shared this recipe, I am going to do a post on a Fathers Day gift idea with a printable.
Stay tuned tomorrow for this really fun idea!!
