Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!
This is an exciting post for me because I absolutely LOVE Dr Seuss. His birthday is on March 2nd. So, I thought it would be a great opportunity to celebrate this great man this month with these fun printables and whimsical treats!
Dr Seuss ranks high on my list of “favorites”!
I believe Dr Seuss is brilliant! His fun, quirky, rhyming nonsense makes it easy to learn to read. In fact, I credit Dr Seuss for teaching my daughter (who is also brilliant) to read. I would guess that a very large percentage of the American population owns or has owned something Seuss! Although I learned to read with “Fun With Dick & Jane” in like 1970, hahah, Dr Seuss has taught me a few things too. I came up with “10 Life Lessons” that we can all learn from Dr Seuss!
I love this quote about nonsense. It makes complete sense!!
I can’t celebrate Dr Seuss without offering some bookmarks, I have 4 styles with 8 on a page so you can print, cut and SHARE! 🙂
When you gather the kids around to read a fun Seuss book, why not share a fun whimsical treat also? For these treats I used pretzel sticks and made a tree with cotton candy. I stuck the trees in a mound of green frosting on top of mini cupcakes. Simple, cute, and will surely put a smile on children as well as adult faces!
Here are the six printables with download links below. Enjoy!

These are great! Can they be enlarged beyond an 8×10 and still print nicely? Thanks so much!
Jillene says
Hi Mina! You should be able to enlarge them fine. I believe someone make nice 11×17 prints from these.

We are doing a Dr. Seuss Week at Camp this summer. These are just the best! Thank you! The kids love them! We are using frames from Michael’s with liquid watercolor, which gives them a tie-dye look, and using these in the frames. I can’t thank you enough!
Jillene says
Awesome Kirstyn! I’m so glad you found a fun use for these! 🙂
