Holiday Tips:
Making The Most Of Your Time And Your Resources This Holiday Season
In years when you’re extra busy, or money is tight, giving your kids a nice Christmas can be a bit of a challenge. I’m here to tell you that no matter what’s going on in your life and with your bank account, you can do it by getting a little creative.
The good news is that most of the time when one resource is tight, you have plenty of the other. In other words, when money is tight, you usually have a little extra time on your hands. When you’re super busy on the other hand, it often means that you’re doing well at work or in business, and money isn’t as much of an issue.
No matter how much time you have on your hands, use it wisely. It’s a very finite resource and we each only get 24 hours per day. Spend your time on the things and with people that are most important to you. Prioritize what you really want to do and what brings you and your loved ones the most joy. Maybe that’s making 5 different batches of Christmas cookies together. Or maybe it’s buying a tin of cookies at the store and heading out to see the lights instead.
Think about what you really want to do and what sounds like fun. What will help you create those wonderful memories that will last a lifetime? Make those things a priority and then work in the rest if and where it makes sense.
The same holds true when it comes to finances. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on Christmas decorations and gifts. Instead, spend wisely on a few things that are important to you. If you want to buy your son that new bike he’s been wishing for to see that big smile on his face on Christmas morning, spend your money there. Cut back on gifts for extended family and friends and stop feeling obligated to give everyone a gift. Make a batch of homemade cookies instead and give those as gifts. Get crafty if that’s your thing and come up with something cute but inexpensive. Cut back on fancy decorations or expensive holiday events that don’t mean all that much to you.
There are lot of free and inexpensive things to do during the holiday season. Go out and look at Christmas lights. Make some ornaments and other crafts at home with things you already own. Challenge yourself to make or repurpose gifts for each other. Use both your time and your money wisely on what’s most important to you and your loved ones and you’ll have a wonderful Holiday Season no matter how little there is of each.
I hope some of these holiday tips are helpful for you!

Love your gift tags! For some reason, I am having trouble downloading them. When I try to click on the images, nothing happens. It acts as if there is no link or nothing to download. Even when I try to click on where it says Download Here, it seems as if there is no link. Thanks for your help! 🙂
