Holiday Coloring Pages… And Creating Holiday Traditions!

Hello and Happy December! I’m talking about holiday traditions here and I also have a new batch of holiday coloring pages. These are really fun and I’m looking forward to coloring them with my family. I can’t pick a favorite as I love them all! Can you pick a favorite?

My grandkids love to color so I’m going to introduce them to these holiday coloring pages today. I think the snowman and the collage will be a hit! I love holiday traditions and coloring might just be a new tradition we make this year.

Speaking of traditions, I want to talk about traditions a bit and keeping traditions alive.

Christmas Traditions Are Important!

What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions? We all have them and they may just be more important than we think. Traditions like putting up the tree on the day after Thanksgiving, buying a special new ornament each year, or opening one gift on Christmas Eve are a special part of the holiday season. While we share many traditions, we also have unique twists on them. Maybe it’s visiting the same holiday lights each year or visiting a giving tree for charity. Maybe it’s making gingerbread cookies or having cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate for breakfast Christmas morning.

No matter what traditions we have – traditional, or quirky, they are the glue that binds us together during the holidays. They help us share celebrations with our loved ones and our community. They give us a sense of belonging and help us mark important dates. Even more importantly, they help us make memories. Think back on your favorite Childhood memories of Christmas. Chances are that they are tied to Christmas traditions. Those traditions help us remember the meaningful events around them from one year to the next.

Another important aspect of traditions is that they are something we share with others. Creating and following through with traditions helps us strengthen and nurture relationships. That’s why it’s so important to blend and come up with new family traditions as we start our own family. You take the best traditions from each side, blend them, and then come up with a few of your own. We’re creating our very own set of family holiday traditions that will bind our family together.

Take a minute to think about your own holiday traditions. What do you do year in and year out? Is there something you have to do or have or it doesn’t feel like Christmas? Nourish those traditions and pass them on to your children. If you don’t have a lot of traditions yet, there’s no better time than the present to start them!

Ok, how about these downloads. Maybe you can fit them into your holiday fun!

Do you have a word or words you’d like to focus Do you have a word or words you’d like to focus on for 2021? I haven’t picked mine yet but I like to have a focus word. I’m always a little behind in the game but I think this one word Wellness would work. Ironically that was my 2020 word. I started out the year so good. I lost 30 lbs and was on a healthier path and then Covid happened and some things went out the window. But I still believe in having a focus word. I designed over 70 of these prints and I sell them for $1.00 each and I will customize one for $3.00. They are so popular in my shop. (shopinkhappi.com) Do you have a word for 2021 to focus on? Just curious if so what is it? I also have a list of 100 ideas for that one word #ontheblog. Link in bio #inkhappidesigns

These are my people and I'm so grateful for them! These are my people and I'm so grateful for them! I don't talk much about this but having an only child has been one ofn my hardest trials to endure. I would of loved to have more children and give my daughter siblings but it wasn't meant to be. That doesn't stop me from being so so grateful to be blessed with her in my life. She's been an exceptional child and has given me a son in law and two darling grand kids. I'm glad that she married into a family of 5 boys and a girl and lots of in laws and nieces/nephews. One thing I've learned is that a family is a family no matter how big or small. These are the people I like to laugh with, share with, vacation with with and celebrate holidays and birthdays with. My people!
