Do you want to be a hit at the party? Wether it’s your own, you’re going to one or even for a tailgate party, this football cheese ball and diy grass serving tray will make everyone smile! In fact I will make you smile now….
See the football cheese ball on the field and the crackers on the sidelines getting ready to be put in the game?
Did it make you smile? {yeah, I know kinda Cheeeesey!}
Ok this football cheese ball is so easy to make. You can make the cheese ball and the tray in a half hour or less and have great results! First of all, make the cheese ball. I shared my cheese ball recipe HERE.
Once the cheese ball is made instead of shaping it into an easy peasy ball your going to shape it into a FOOTBALL shape. {also easy peasy}
AND
I have a grass background that you can print out and make a cute grass field serving tray in about 5-10 minutes!
For the Field:
1. Print out the 8.5 x 11 green grass on a card stock paper. (cut the white border off if you wish)
2. Cut an 8.5×11 piece of thick cardboard out. (If its not very thick cut 2 and layer them)
3. Wrap the cardboard in aluminum foil.
4. Attach the green grass sheet to the aluminum foil with double stick tape or whatever you have thats tacky.
…and you have this!
To form your football cheese ball:
1.Put the cheese mixture on a flat surface and put plastic wrap over it and shape until you get your desired football shape.
2. Coat the cheese ball with pecans or almonds
3. Carefully move onto the cute tray you just made using a spatula.
4, Cut string cheese or other white cheese to make the football threads.
5. Be so proud of yourself because you created something amazing in about a half hours time!!!
Add crackers if you wish and ENJOY!
