I am really excited! This is a BIG day. ——–>> I get to share my Instagram Halloween Costume! Every year nearing Halloween I search the web for ideas for awesome Halloween costumes. Sometimes it can be hard finding fun creative ones that can be made from home. If your like me sometimes you want something cute and clever but doesn’t require too much fuss and its a bonus if you can sit down in it! 😉 I hope this costume will be just that.
So…..
Me and 80+ blog buddies got together to bring you 80+ DIY Halloween costumes, including my INSTAGRAM HALLOWEEN COSTUME! I’m teaming up with Jamie Dorobek and her handmade Halloween costume site, Really Awesome Costumes to bring y’all tons of easy ideas to craft up DIY Halloween costumes for everyone including your pets, family costumes, and even a trunk or treat idea!
ISN’T THIS INSTAGRAM HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEA WAY FUNNNN?!!
Well, it was also super easy to put together and I’m gonna help you to make it even easier if you’d like with free printables to customize your very own Instagram Halloween Costume! I’m going to show you how I made this one and you can make your own adjustments if you’d like it a little different. I will give credit to my costume models ——>> my niece Courtney and her new husband Dallin. I adore these two and you should check out Courtneys awesome music HERE!
Items to purchase or have on hand for your Instagram Halloween Costume:
Printed out printables (download supplied below)
20 x 30 white foam
Navy blue poster board
Scissors
blade cutter for foam board
glue tape or glue dots
Velcro {optional}
ruler (Yardstick would be awesome)
First gather supplies and start cutting printables of your custom choice out.
Cut your white foam board and blue poster board per these instructions: 4″ x 20″ piece of blue poster board for the top. Measure *’ from top, 6″ from bottom and 2″ on each side to make a 16 inch square in the middle for selfie shot, 🙂
Cut out your Foam board square and glue or velcro pieces on. The velcro is great because you can change the board up if you want. I just added one long strip of velcro on each line and then put small cut out pieces on the backs of my IG labels. That way the come on and off easily. You know, if you want to start out a selfie_expert and end up as the town drunk! 😉
Thats it! I already have had fun with this! Here are some variations.
Wallah! You now have your Instagram Halloween Costume. Cool huh?
I’d love to see photos to post on inkhappi’s FB page. Send me a photo if you use it!
