Its here! The May 2018 calendar and motivational thought! April showers bring May flowers with a pretty calendar and a thought about “encouragement”.
There’s a few things I’ve learned in life, and today’s message is one of them. Love, positive vibes and encouragement go a long way in someone’s life. Being truly happy for others accomplishments, talents and qualities will also bring more joy and happiness into your life. Knowing these things have brought me to this month’s motivational thought…
Be an ENCOURAGER. The world has enough critics already.
What is an encourager?
ENCOURAGE:
- to inspire with courage, spirit, or confidence
- to stimulate by assistance, approval, etc.
- to promote, advance, or foster
That not too hard is it?
We rise by lifting others!
I’m going to share 5 tips on how we can be an encourager this month or anytime:
- Become aware of what encourages you and then do those things for others.
- Offer praise to others and be specific.
- Share their accomplishments with others.
- Don’t look for faults and think about what is right!
- Encourage at least 3 people people every day.
Is that enough of a challenge?
I know it makes me feel really great when someone encourages me with a compliment or what they like about what I do. I love it when they share my accomplishments with others. It feels really good when someone tells me something specific that they like about me, especially when I least expect it. I want to do those same things for others!
I’m going to take on this challenge in May and see if it brings more happiness and improves my relationships with others. How about you? Are you willing to give it a try too?

Your site is always a pleasure to visit. I was away for six weeks and when I got back this week (early June) printed both May and June Calendars and Thoughts because they are so inspirational and delightful to keep on my bulletin board.
