Hello friends! I’m here to share a new motivational print and a gratitude thought that’s been on my mind. You don’t HAVE to, you GET to! Have you heard this phrase before?
Motivational Print: You don’t HAVE to, You GET to!
Well we’ll talk about it some more in a bit, but first I wanted to share what brought me to share this in the first place. First, I watched this video from the prophet and leader of our church. He talked about gratitude. His message was so so timely in the midst of a very challenging year. I have often shared how I feel about gratitude and it is one of the greatest virtues we can have. Please take time to watch this video if you’d like. It’s only about 11 minutes long. He shares HERE how this thought came to be.
Pretty awesome right?!! I’m taking his challenge to post 7 days of gratitude on social media and today is my first day. That is where this quote comes into play.
You don’t HAVE to, You GET to
My dad passed away 28 years ago this week. I miss him all the time. He was always quoting positive happy things. (hmmmm, where did I get that from?) He used this quote often and it always stuck with me.He was such an awesome example of being happy, enthusiastic and positive. That was something he passed on to me and I’m so grateful for that.
So, this is my day one of 7 days of gratitude!
I never let anyone get away with saying “I have to… do something”. I then say, “You don’t HAVE to, You GET to!” You know and this is so true. It’s all about attitude and how you look at things. I choose to be positive and that is a blessing in my life. I’m so glad my dad took the time to teach me about gratitude, attitude and being positive. Although he is gone, this lives on in my life!
Thanks for letting me share this with you. I hope it can have an impact on you also.
