Jesus is the Reason for the Season.
A Christmas activity and printable adapted from the Christmas carol “Oh Holy Night”.
This is what I refer to as my spiritual Christmas post and my way of sharing what Christmas means to me. Since I have been blogging in the last couple of years I always try to share a post about something that motivates and inspires the true meaning of Christmas for me. The last couple of years I have shared a tradition or print that was Christ centered. This year I decided to do this by taking the words to a beautiful Christmas Carol, “Oh Holy Night” and turning it into a print and a Christ centered Christmas activity.
You know the song….
Oh Holy Night
The stars were brightly shining.
Twas the night of our dear
Saviors
birth!
What beautiful words and message this songs brings!
Wouldn’t this make a great print to have near the nativity in your holiday decor?
I love Christmas… I love the lights and decorations. The music. Childhood innocence. Gifts and Acts of kindness both given and received. I love it all!
To me, all of these things represent Christ. There is so much about Christmas that represents the love of our Savior. I like to focus on activities that bring this out throughout the holidays. Every Christmas eve we have a family tradition in which we sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus and we have a cake with a candle(s) that the children blow out. The children just love this and it teaches them more about the true meaning of Christmas. I have a post with another free printable that goes with this idea (The Santa-Christ poem) . You can find that ——–>> HERE.

FUN, huh? I just LOVE traditions!
Today I am sharing another idea that goes along with the Oh Holy Night Print. I’ve made some stars that have a place to write a gift we can give Jesus for his birthday (like the wise men did). They can be acts of service or behaviors we know would make Christ happy! These stars can then be put on the tree or in a special place where they can be read and remembered as our gift to Jesus!

I think its fun to have several activities like this throughout the holiday season to keep our focus on the meaning of Christmas. I hope you will enjoy doing this as one of them. 🙂
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season full of LOVE & HAPPINESS!
