Hmmm… I am gonna try to make this quick. I don’t know why I forget to get more pictures. It would make this so much easier, but I will do my best to catch up on the last couple of weeks.

Brit just LOVES Anna, Lucy, and Claire!

This is where the reunion took place…

Thanksgiving came and went. We had a Petersen Reunion Thurs.~ Sat. Stephanie & James were in charge and they did a great job! Most of our activities were at Falcon field where James dad has an airplaine hanger. It had a large screen Projector, pool, ping pong, and lots of room to run around. We watched family movies and slides, movies, played games, had wacky olympics, and a couple of family programs. We took family pictures at the Temple on Saturday. Kirt, Brit and I were able to attend all of the activities and Brit brought Jesse on Saturday night. The highlight for me was at the end of the reunion, Mom and Dad Pete ended the talent show with a dance. They always come up with something cute to do together for the talent show, but I think this was one of my favs! Wow! Dad knows how to bust a little smooth dance move. I was impressed. 🙂 Then they reminded us that they were a 50’s couple. Dated and married in 1955.

They have done such a fine job of raising their family and I am so grateful to them for giving me such a great guy in Kirt! And they have always been so good to me also in loving and accepting me into their family.
April & James were also here for the weekend so this made it a little hard on us to feel like we could enjoy everyone but we did our best and knew the Petersen reunion was priority, but don’t worry…
we are late night people!!

Friday night, Brit & Jesse and April and James were going to go out together so brit left reunion early. Kirt and I got home around 9:30 to find the four of them chatting it up in the family room. (It was important to brit for April & James to meet and spend time with her & Jesse) I was really excited to see them still there so Kirt and I could join them. Well this turned into a 4 hour chat fest and let me tell you, this group knows how to talk! Talk we did. about EVERYTHING! haha On the RED SOFA too! We got to know Jesse way better and it was fun to spend personal time with Prill & james again. I think we really could of talked ALL night long but at 1:30am I abrubptly said, “Jesse go home. James and Kirt go to bed. We girls need some girl time!” So the boys obeyed, and April, Brit and I continued our girl talk until 4 in the morning. It was GREAT! We caught up and laughed quite a bit!

S A T U R D A Y we had more reunion and late Sat night 24 Petersens, Cotters, Websters, Jacobsens, etc… went to Jesters Comedy improve. It was a fun way to end the evening and for us to fit the Webster family into our full Thanksgiving weekend.

Then Brit got to speak in church on Sunday. YAY! She actually loves to speak in front of ANY group. She isn’t ever even nervous. Kirt and I don’t quite get or comprehend this, but she gave a great talk. I am going to add that when Brit speaks, people listen. Something interesting happened when she spoke and I wanted to add this because it intrigued me. Well when Brit began her talk, the chapel was sooo irreverent! We had 2 baby blessings that day and a full building. People got up to leave after the sacrement before Britney spoke and there were people sitting right behind me that were seriously speaking loudly and there were babies crying everywhere! I was so annoyed that I turned around and gave a “reverence signal”. Well about a minute or two into Brits talk, something interesting happened. SUDDENLY it was like you could hear a pin drop. No kidding! Brit brought the spirit into the room like that, and people listened. She has that ability. It amazes me. After she spoke, the Stake president who was sitting next to her told her that she brought the spirit into the meeting also.

OK so we made it to last week, which we have spent decorating for Christmas and getting ready for the holidays. We have been really busy at work too so it has been a little hectic. Brit is into finals and after her first semester of college she will be a sophomore! Her finals have been fairly easy for her and as always she will receive straight A’s. Brit keeps busy with school, working for us still at cabinet Connection and spending time EVERY DAY with Jesse. For more on that, you may want to see her Blog.

But all is well with the Petersens. We are happy and blessed and we LOVE this time of year. We are getting ready to go to our timeshare in Newport and do disneyland so stay tuned…

    What a fun weekend! I’m tired just thinking about it:). I didn’t know Britney was serious with anyone?? Have fun in Cali and we will miss you for lunch so let’s get together asap next year:).
