Dr Seuss ranks high on my list of “favorites”!
This is an exciting post for me because I absolutely LOVE Dr Seuss. His birthday is on March 2nd. So, I thought it would be a great opportunity to Celebrate Dr Seuss this month!
I believe Dr Seuss is brilliant! His fun, quirky, rhyming nonsense makes it easy to learn to read. In fact, I credit Dr Seuss for teaching my daughter (who is also brilliant) to read. I would guess that a very large percentage of the American population owns or has owned something Seuss! Although I learned to read with “Fun With Dick & Jane”–hahah, Dr Seuss has taught me a few things too. I came up with “10 Life Lessons” that we can all learn from Dr Seuss!
I love this quote from Dr Seuss about nonsense. I makes complete sense!!
I can’t celebrate Dr Seuss without offering some bookmarks, I have 4 styles with 8 on a page so you can print, cut and SHARE! 🙂
When you gather the kids around to read a fun Seuss book, why not share a fun whimsical treat also? For these treats I used pretzel sticks and made a tree with cotton candy. I stuck the trees in a mound of green frosting on top of mini cupcakes. Simple, cute, and will surely put a smile on children as well as adult faces!
