Cancer Free Is Awesome News… Hope Prevails!

Tweet

{This weeks happy thoughts are in honor of those who are battling cancer,  love someone who is battling this monster, or who have been declared cancer free. I will post more free cancer related prints tomorrow!}

Free…

Cancer free That was the news I heard today from someone who is very special to me.

Last October, one of my very first posts was about Cancer. I shared a post about breast cancer awareness month and how it had affected both my mother and sister. You can read that post HERE.

One of my most heartbreaking experiences in life was losing my sister JoAnn to breast cancer. That was in 2000. This past December, my niece, her daughter April who lived in my home for several years after her mom passed away was diagnosed. She had a mastectomy on Jan 1st and has spent the last 8 months going through a tough series of chemo and radiation. Today her Doctor told her she is cancer free! #cancerfree This was such awesome news! Although I can’t begin to imagine what my niece April has gone through the last few months, it was hard to know she was going through it. Todays revelation brought about a lot of tender thoughts to my mind. I know today, April is cancer free. I know she is a strong. I know she is beautiful. I know that hope kept this dream alive.

My beautiful niece who has won this battle with cancer! Cancer free!

Cancer free 8.12.13

Way to go April! I am so proud of you.

In honor of Aprils special day, I am sharing a free printable with a message from me to all those  patients who get to hear this message from their doctors…

You are cancer free!

Cancer free! A positive and encouraging message for those faced with breast cancer. HOPE prevails! FREE print from inkhappi #cancer #cancerfree #hope #freebie

Happy Day!

HOPE is a beautiful thing. See an earlier post on hope HERE.

And another message.

“Let us just enjoy today for we know not what tomorrow may bring.”

Do you have a word or words you’d like to focus Do you have a word or words you’d like to focus on for 2021? I haven’t picked mine yet but I like to have a focus word. I’m always a little behind in the game but I think this one word Wellness would work. Ironically that was my 2020 word. I started out the year so good. I lost 30 lbs and was on a healthier path and then Covid happened and some things went out the window. But I still believe in having a focus word. I designed over 70 of these prints and I sell them for $1.00 each and I will customize one for $3.00. They are so popular in my shop. (shopinkhappi.com) Do you have a word for 2021 to focus on? Just curious if so what is it? I also have a list of 100 ideas for that one word #ontheblog. Link in bio #inkhappidesigns

These are my people and I'm so grateful for them! These are my people and I'm so grateful for them! I don't talk much about this but having an only child has been one ofn my hardest trials to endure. I would of loved to have more children and give my daughter siblings but it wasn't meant to be. That doesn't stop me from being so so grateful to be blessed with her in my life. She's been an exceptional child and has given me a son in law and two darling grand kids. I'm glad that she married into a family of 5 boys and a girl and lots of in laws and nieces/nephews. One thing I've learned is that a family is a family no matter how big or small. These are the people I like to laugh with, share with, vacation with with and celebrate holidays and birthdays with. My people!
