July 2023 Calendar and a thought about Community

Hello hello friends! It’s time to share the July 2023 calendar and I chose to share a thought about community. I also have a thought about being a good citizen in our communities but I will leave the political side out of it. I felt like July would be a good month for this since I celebrate my country during July.

July 2023 Calendar and Thought

BE a good citizen in your community

Citizenship is defined as the sense of belonging to a community and having the rights and responsibilities that come with it.

A community i a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society.

I want to share a thought about how we can be a good citizen in our communities before I get to the calendar prints.

20 Ways to be a good citizen in your community:

Having respect for others and their property.
Being tolerant and accepting of others beliefs and ways.
Take responsibility for your own actions.
Help maintain public spaces.
Being helpful and/or volunteering.
Be honest in your dealings.
Keep your home in order.
Recycle and reuse and don’t take advantage of resources.
Do not discriminate and treat people equally.
Obeying the law even if it seems unfair.
Be a good neighbor.
Shop local and support small business near you when possible.
Organize a clean up or service project.
Organize a charity and/or contribute to it.
Show compassion and empathy to those around you.
Show kindness… it goes a long way!
Use your voice when others may be afraid to share theirs.
Compliment and let others know they are important.
Be aware of what is going on in your community and help keep it safe.
Use your talents to benefit others.

Phew! that is a lot of things we can do to be a good member of our communities. I’d like to challenge you to pick 1 or many to focus on, and add it to yourJuly 2023 Calendar and see if it can make a difference.
