May 2024 Calendar and the Word of the Month is Tolerance

Hi friends! It’s hard to believe that I’m posting the May 2024 Calendar. The word of the month is tolerance. This year is flying by fast! I’ve really enjoyed having a focus word each month. I really want to get my message out there this month so I hope you will read it and check out this months quotes! I think about them often and it makes me want to be a better person! So here’s to May 2024!

The word of the month:

PEACE BEGINS WITH TOLERANCE AND RESPECT FOR EVERYONE!

I have experienced a lot lately where people say mean things about people that don’t align with their beliefs or lifestyle. Some of these things I have felt as a personal dig but it’s mostly directed at others. I don’t even think these people realize what they are saying or intending it to be mean, but it is! So let’s think before we speak. If it’s putting someone down for being different then don’t say it!!

I hate to admit this, because it is not at all ME but I grew up being told that these were bad people:  men with long beards/biker dudes,  people with tattoos, people wearing revealing clothes, people that drank alcohol, people with certain political beliefs, amongst other things that I won’t mention. As I have grown up I find these to be some of the nicest people around!

I have seen families  and friendships broken up because of decisions made that aren’t in agreeance with each other.

These are some examples of why I’m promoting this Word for the May 2024 Calendar. I have a passion to get this message out there so I chose to share it on my blog.

This topic was something that I have felt strongly about and I have wanted to voice my feelings/opinions on this without being offensive. That’s why I have chosen to focus on it in the May 2024 calendar. It has been my intension to post thoughts and quotes on my instagram and Facebook pages that relate to the word of the month. I haven’t been the best at it but that will change this month. I will be posting about tolerance and the other topics I have chosen for each monthly calendar.
