Printable Password Log and Creating New Passwords

Today I’m sharing something very simple. It’s a printable password log for your personal record keeping  I actually had a reader ask me if I could do one for her and I gladly said I would as I’ve been wanting one for myself also. There are many ways to keep login information online but its nice to have a record in your personal possession somewhere. If you don’t feel it’s safe to store these online then this form is perfect for you! And you can find your own safe place to keep it.

Printable Password Log

This printable password log has columns to keep track of:

-Account Name

-User Name

-Password

-Other {information you may want to record}

It is recommended to change your passwords on occasion. I am due to change mine. Different accounts require different password guidelines and thats where I tend to get confused or forget my passwords when you start messing with capitals, numbers, symbols, or length of the password. Therefore,  I hope this helps some of you as it did myself!

When choosing a password there are some things to keep in mind to make it a strong password.

I found this information from microsoft on creating a strong password helpful:

What makes a password strong (or weak)?

A strong password:

Is at least eight characters long.

Does not contain your user name, real name, or company name.

Does not contain a complete word.

Is significantly different from previous passwords.

Contains characters from each of the following four categories:

1. Uppercase

2. Lowercase

3. Numbers

4. Symbols
