Childrens Responsibility Charts. Free Printables!

How many of you out there are list makers? Me! (raises hand) Wether or not you are, hopefully you will like these Childrens Responsibility Charts. Being accountable is also an important element in planning childrens responsibilities. These are great anytime to help add structure but they can be especially helpful at the start of summer or a new school year to set some standards and productivity at home. This could be a great time to teach our children and/or help them develop more responsibility. It also helps them to be more accountable. I created some charts that will help organize activities, homework, chores, and so much more. ——>> This is what I’ve come up with to help:

Childrens Responsibility and Accountability Charts

The dictionary describes responsibility as the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management. Parents have the responsibly of raising their children, and children have responsibilities to learn and grow up to be responsible adults.

I love this quote from Ann Landers:

It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings.

Sometimes the easy way is to do “all the things” for our children but in the long run it’ll do them good to start taking more responsibility and be accountable at a young age. When school is back in session there will be plenty of opportunities to develop these responsibilities. That’s why I created a “To Do” list or  “Responsibility Chart” for parents and  kids to use.

I made 2 versions that you can personalize to your own needs. I like these because they are great for pre-schoolers through high school. It can help parents and children stay on top of accountability. I think as an adult that I could even find this helpful!

Some of  the things that can be include on them are:

homework

practices

lessons

chores

personal care

service or helping others

kindness

being a good friend

reading

…and so much more!

You can download your Childrens Responsibility Chart here :

Here’s the weekly version. It can be used as a to do list for the week and has many rows for responsibilities to accomplish and track.

The Monthly version has 5 rows for weeks to track certain responsibilities on a weekly/monthly basis. You may want to just use it for homework and a couple of other things. I left all the rows blank so you can fill them in how you wish.
