Happy Birthday Honest Abe!
Abraham Lincoln was born ion February 12, 1809 and his life tragically ended on April 15, 1865 when he was shot to his death during his profound leadership as president of the United States. He was the 16th president of the United States (1861–65) and is best known for leading the civil war and abolishing slavery. He is also nicknamed “Honest Abe” because he was considered an honest man who had no fear of speaking his mind and standing up for his beliefs.
